University of Florida
6 day Hitting Plan

At the University of Florida we use a 6 day hitting Plan in the Fall to help build our hitters swing.  Each day we try to add something to keep the development of the swing simple and easy.  The most important part of development is quality not quantity.  Hitting correctly 50 times is better than just going through the motions 500 times as quickly as possible.  Work with your hitters to find out what they like to do and implement a program of their likes and of their needs.  Most hitters will respond better if they feel you truly care about the “Their” swing.

Front toss is done behind a screen approximately 15-25 feet away from the batter
When tossing from the front, try and center your body with home plate
